Virginia Volunteers in Mission (VAVIM)

VAVIM Team Leaders,

Virginia Volunteers in Mission continues to grow in witness to God’s mission in our local communities and around the world! Whether your church has been taking short term volunteer teams for many years or you are just starting your involvement in VIM, you are a vital witness to Christ’s love as well as an ambassador of the United Methodist Church in Virginia.

To strengthen our witness and protect you as volunteers and those who receive our teams the Annual Conference has adopted a Policy for Short Term Volunteer in Mission Teams.  Starting January 1, 2013 this policy will offer a standard for best practices for all VIM teams from churches in the Virginia Conference.

We hope you will see this as an opportunity to strengthen your missional outreach by re-certifying as a VAVIM Team leader. On behalf of the conference I want to express my appreciation for your commitment to ministry and mission through VIM as a team leader.

In Christ,

Glenn Rowley
